Ahmed Awadallah – TCG Intern
Ahmed Awadallah is a native of Egypt. He grew up in a small village in the delta along the River Nile. After graduating from the High School at the top of his class, Ahmed served two years in the army. He began his career as a Lab Instructor before coming to the US. In 2008, Ahmed was the recipient of the “Community Colleges for International Development Fulbright Scholarship.” In addition to this accomplishment, he was awarded the “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” in 2010 and 2012 based on his contributions as an outstanding leader at Northampton Community College, located in Bethlehem, PA and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
Before majoring in Political Science, Ahmed studied Electromechanical Technology for seven years. Currently, he is a senior at Kutztown University studying Political Science with double minors in Economics and International Studies. He has been very involved with the Student Government Board and the Model United Nation club. Last year, Ahmed was elected to serve as the Dean Liaison of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Recently, he got elected to be the Vice President of the Political Science club. Ahmed is very interested in democracy, development, international relations, and diplomacy. In addition, he likes to debate current political and economic issues. In March 2012, he was awarded the Diplomacy award presented by Harvard World Model United Nations in Vancouver. Ahmed is very excited to work for The Common Good and gain a new experience with the non-profit sector.
