Joseph Tropeano – TCG Intern
Joe Tropeano is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholar and Peabody Scholar studying Human and Organizational Development, Political Science, and Spanish. He works as a Peer Career Advocate at the Vanderbilt Career Center. On campus, Joe helped start a campus initiative called “Vandy Votes,” which works to increase voter registration and awareness in the Vanderbilt freshman class. He also serves as a student advisor for incoming freshmen as part of the Human and Organizational Development Advise-a-Dore program. Joe was a part of the Contemporary Global Issues Specialized Learning Center at Freehold Township High School in Freehold, NJ, where he was president of the school’s chapter of the Junior State of America. He also served as the Convention Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic State of the Junior State of America, planning three conventions focusing on civic education and debate in New Jersey and Washington, DC. He also served as a Teen Leader for the Red Bank CROP Hunger Walk, working to raise money and awareness for world hunger in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Joe lives in Marlboro, New Jersey and enjoys reading, travelling, listening to country music, and spending time with friends and family.
