Donald Trump: Obama Birth Certificate Should’ve Been Released Long Ago
Huffington Post - Donald Trump reacted to the release of President Barack Obama’s long-form birth certificate by the White House on Wednesday morning.
Speaking at a press conference in New Hampshire, the potential presidential contender said that he’s “proud” in light of the disclosure. He added, however, “it is rather amazing that all of the sudden” the document surfaces. He suggested it should be inspected to ensure its authenticity.
In recent weeks, Trump has captured headlines and sparked controversy with his persistence in raising doubt over the president’s birthplace. He released his own official birth certificate to ABC News last month and has repeatedly called on Obama to do the same. Wolf Blitzer Spars With Donald Trump Over Obama’s Birth Certificate
Elizabeth Flock, US News - The budding bromance between Mitt Romney and Donald Trump was put to the test on live television Tuesday.
Just hours before Trump was to host a fundraiser for Romney in Las Vegas, the Republican business magnate picked a fight with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer over President Barack Obama’s birth certificate.
After castigating CNN for mentioning the birther issue, Trump reasserted his belief that Obama was born in Kenya.
“Obama does not like the issue of where he was born,” Trump told Blitzer. “He does not like that issue because it’s hitting very close to home. You know it, and he knows it.” [more]
