The economic future with Jeffrey Sachs, Wednesday, February 19
In addition to being a gifted speaker, Jeffrey Sachs is known as one of the world’s leading experts on economic development. While his concentration for years has been on ending poverty around the globe and promoting sustainable environmental practices, he has more recently turned his attention to concerns about the economy here in the United States.
What ails our economy and what do we need to do to address our economic problems in jobs, incomes, education and the environment? How is political spin and consumerism distorting our process? What can we do to make our country strong and prosperous again?
The Common Good is very proud to offer the opportunity to meet and hear from Jeffrey Sachs on Wednesday, February 19.
Sachs has been a leading advisor and expert for countless nations across the planet on critical economic issues. He is the Director of The Earth Institute, Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University.
He has received numerous honors and awards and authored three New York Times bestsellers in the past seven years: The End of Poverty, Common Wealth: Economics for a Crowded Planet, and The Price of Civilization. See his full bio here.
Join us on Wednesday, February 19, for an evening reception, followed by an intimate dinner for TCG Executive and Leadership Sponsors.
